Yesterday was dense with meetings at work; the evening i was a lump before the video box. I understand why, at least, and the transient low has passed.
Christine's now ready for me to stop analyzing Avatar. I guess i am, too, but last night's watching of "Fern Gully" feeds my critique. My FB status regarding the film (since that's where i mainly interacted around the film yesterday):

Fruitcake arrival day! My wheat exceptions for this holiday will be the fruitcake and the imported mincemeat tarts.
Oh my, looking about for some nopales (cactus) advice i found this blog: http://tazadechocolate.blogspot.com/ It's delightful! Breakfast egg and lunch black beans both benefitted. Now to buy more. And talk my parents into planting some on their fence line.
Politics: i'm furious at the Nelson language crap in the health care bill. The whole health care thing makes me steam whenever i look at if for five minutes. I have this, "Ugh, i'm going to become a libertarian," reaction when confronted with the sausagy chaos of the whole process. Intellectually i know i do not believe libertarian principles will improve the country and the world, but i know i'm not fighting the good fight. Some guilt is mixed in with the utter irritation.

P-C suggested i watch "Fern Gully" after watching "Avatar." Um, wow. Fascinating how similar the two movies are. Avatar: technically superior and NO MUSICAL NUMBERS. Fern Gully: better ending that escapes the "savior" fantasy, passes Bechdel test with stronger female lead character. Mixed feelings about Tim Curry's singing oil character.
