Good things: i made a quite good breakfast this morning, grits and scrambled egg with fried slices of hickory smoked tofurky, with Dubliners cheese as a garnish and avocado for me. It turns out avocado in grits is divine.

Yesterday i splurged at the Sprint store. I don't feel i "deserve" a new blue tooth headset because i've lost TWO since 31 January. On the other hand, i spend a great deal of time on the phone. I decided i would try out a wired pair of ear buds plus a Jabra STONE bluetooth headset. It's so sleek and shiny: the headset and charging case are together a white pebble that fits into my hand, the earpiece swirls out, buttons are invisible, lights only stay on long enough to read the status and then go off. Once i realized the signals and buttons were present, it became very easy to use. It will be a pleasure to use in the car.
The corded headset also works with multiple devices: the cell phone, our home phones, and the laptop. Because of my virtual work situation, i find myself using the mic & audio on the laptop, on the land line, and on my cell throughout the workday. I'd been juggling between a headset for each device, leading to entertaining moments where i'm talking on one headset while unsnarling my hair from another. The thought of just one headset that i switch between devices is delightful. I could do some of that with the bluetooth, but it just pairs with two devices.
I'll give Christine back her stack of headsets that i've been using.

One day this past week -- Wednesday? Thursday? I stopped at the sliding doors to delight in the three hummingbirds feeding on the deck. They must be starved, because the flowers on the bolted collards and the scented geranium are not showy by any human definition.

In fiddling with my phone today i have found some "better" organizational tricks, so it's nice to improve on the status quo a little as i try to re-achieve the efficiency i had before the phone swap.
