Monday's disappointments included finding the lemon grass i'd dried had become moldy. This disappointment is offset by the continued success of the lemon grass i brought inside for the winter.

Another disappointment is that my every three month password change for work systems seems to have screwed up, yet again. Exhale.

The lemongrass in a pot is doing well in the window. The holy basil (tulsi) is ... not dead yet.

Yesterday i worked at my folks' home, and made tea for mom in a glass teapot with my hibiscus. I think i should use more to make a stronger brew next time, but this was still a lovely pink with a delicate flavor. I think Red Zinger must have a strong component of rose hips for a more tart flavor.

Marlowe kitten is now a door stop or a window sentinel as she wants a bigger world. She has surgery scheduled for early next week, so i am adamant that we do not let her roam (even on leash) until after she's recovered. Edward and Luigi are making do with requesting to go out and having free return by the cat door. The one-way function isn't one we've used much, so it's been nice to have that discovery. The kitten has also found her way into the big cat box: that will simplify care too.

Last night was her first with no separation from Carrie. All is well, including Carrie making a rare intrusion on the bed this morning for companionship. Just over a week to get to a "new normal" with Marlowe seems pretty speedy to me. Next week i'm taking "off" and will be able to help with post surgery care, if there is much fuss.

Today i ought to work on the working group stuff, although i am still wondering about Amazon Web Services' load balancer offering and the elastic cloud tasks and how they map to AWS accounts. AWS systems can get very complicated and confusing very quickly.

Even the guy who invented the "pick one capital letter, one small letter, one number..." and change every 3 months now admits it was a bad and useless idea. One that has spread like kudzu and we seem to be stuck with.
